Just started golfing a little over two months ago.I borrowed a friends old irons while I learned what to do.After having figured some things out, I thought it was time to invest in my own set. After going to golfsmith and hitting several different clubs, I decided to give these a try.I'm not going to lie and say these clubs have made me a great golfer, however, they have a comfortable feel and make my swing feel natural for a beginner.I do hit the ball much better and for me these clubs are forgiving depending how bad the miss hit was.I just shot my first game under 100 and watched my strokes decrease each time I have gone out and played.I do partly attribute this improvement to the Burners.I highly recommend for beginners.

TaylorMade R9 Irons 4-AW Review

Just purchased these irons to replace my Callaway X-18's.These irons seemed to fit my eye, especially due to the limited amount of offset.I was looking for an iron that seemed to have a thinner look and would provide me with the ability to work the ball.I have played one round with the irons thus far and I am extremely impressed. However, I did notice that I was hitting the ball about one club distance longer than my old set, which isn't a bad thing.

While playing, I hit a few thin shots and the clubs performed very well by assisting the ball with some height and stopping control. They look great upon setup to the ball, which gives me confidence. So far, I can't complain and will post more as I use them during a few more rounds.

To assist others with this review, I am about a 14 handicap and feel that these irons can improve anyone's game.I was advised to purchase the new Titleist AP1's or AP2's, but when I compared the R9's beside them and hit both sets - The R9's had a better look and feel.I don't think you could go wrong with this set of irons.
